About NPI Lens

NPI Lens makes the public National Provider Identifier data easier to use. Billing, credentialing and compliance teams look up NPIs many times a day; the official registry is the source of truth, but it is slow to search, shows one record at a time and does not tell you whether a provider is on the OIG exclusion list.

We put the parts people check together:

  • the provider's NPPES record (name, specialty taxonomies, license numbers, practice location, status and dates),
  • a match against the HHS-OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities,
  • and a bulk checker for whole rosters, with a CSV you can file.

NPI Lens is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) or its Office of Inspector General (OIG). See data sources for exactly where each field comes from and how often it is refreshed.
